If you are interested in participating or would like further information, you should contact the China Financial Sector Training Scheme. With an in-depth understanding of the British financial and commercial sectors and the proven success of managing the Chancellor’s Scheme, the Project Team also has up-to-date knowledge of the evolving economic developments in China and is involved in all stages of selecting candidates.

The Scheme is very easy for a company to participate in. A member of the Team will discuss what skills and experience you are looking for in an individual and seek to match these with the backgrounds of the participants who have been selected in order to make an optimum placement. You will be sent a number of detailed participant profiles to choose from. Having selected a participant, you will be able to decide on the length of the attachment and the start date. Participants come over in four groups a year and placements will be finalised 6 weeks before a group arrives in the UK.

The British Government will meet all the costs including air fares, induction training and administration and all that employers are asked, is to provide a modest salary equivalent to that of a new graduate for the duration of the attachment. The British Council will arrange work permits and keep a close link with participants providing any necessary welfare support.
